Bible Reading Plans - it's not too late!

If you are part of the SOMA family or are a friend of SOMA or if you are just visiting our site... it's not too late to start a Bible Reading Plan for the new year!

Last week I wrote (mostly shared great links) a little article encouraging us all to "live on every word that proceeds from the mouth of God." Today is only January 10th - it's not too late to plan and start and see what God might do in you through His Word. Click here to read that article.

Will the world end on October 21st?

Harold Camping predicted that the world was going to come to end this past May. When that didn't happen as he predicted, he issued a new end of the world date - October 21, 2011.

Will the "end times" begin this coming Friday? At SOMA we believe in the personal, bodily and premillennial return of our Lord Jesus Christ. The coming of Christ, at a time known only to God, demands constant expectancy and, as our blessed hope, motivates the believer to godly living, sacrificial service and energetic mission (from our Statement of Faith).

Join us on Sunday, October 23rd as we focus our sermon on Matthew 24 and the above statement about the return of Jesus.

SOMA has moved!

As of September 5th, the weekend worship service for SOMA Church Community has moved to the Kid Street Learning Center at 709 Davis St. in downtown Santa Rosa.

For two years SOMA Church Community has held its weekend worship service at the Courtyard by Mariott hotel off of 3rd Street. The hotel has been a great location for SOMA during its first two years as a church.

SOMA is excited about the move just a few blocks north to the facility at Kid Street. There will be more space for the children (including an outside playground!) and it will be exciting for SOMA to be meeting and serving as part of a neighborhood environment.
