Shoebox Sunday
December 9, 2018
10:00am – 11:30am
Location: 840 Sonoma Ave, Santa Rosa, CA 95404
SOMA is blessed to participate in "Comfort of Hope" Homeless Outreach's 10th annual Christmas shoe-box gifts.
This all started when our friend Angel asked Gloria, "Mom can we make shoe-boxes for presents to the homeless?" What started as her idea has blossomed into over 2,000 gifts made over the years.
We need your help to make this day special by making a few boxes for men or women. Here is an idea list for the box:
Toothbrush/paste
Shampoo/conditioner
Hair Brush/comb
Face towel
Hand sanitizer
Socks
Deodorant
(Female box)- pads, nail kit, face lotion, nail color
Scarf
Gift cards for lunch
Add a Christmas card too.
Please be sure to gift wrap them and write F for female or M for male on top of present.
If you have kids, filling a shoe box is a great way to teach them to give to others.
Please bring the boxes to church on Sunday. This may be the only gift someone homeless on the street might receive so let's show Jesus love in a practical way.
