Annual Easter Brunch for the Homeless & Easter Worship Service

New Location: City Hall Parking Lot behind the building on the corner of 1st and D Streets

As is our Easter tradition, SOMA Church Community is canceling our regular weekend service in order to go make a difference in our community and provide a special, home cooked Easter brunch for over 250 homeless in downtown Santa Rosa. Every year MANY guests comment that this is the best meal they eat all year and it is because our people make it and serve it with LOVE.

More details will follow as we are closer to the date but here are our normal traditions.

We will start serving brunch at 10:00 am. At 9:00 we need volunteers to help set up the food tables and get the food ready. We will be prepping the food on location.

We will have a church service at 11:00 so we will need volunteers for that as well.

+ We need people to carve the hams
+ We need people to cut fruit for the massive fresh fruit salad
+ We need people to make the green salad, finish the macaroni salad & make orange juice
+ We need a team of people to host the tables in the courtyard
+ We need a team of people to serve food in the buffet line
+ We need people to watch the volunteer's children throughout the event (30 minute shifts)
We need the following items:

--250 hard boiled eggs for eating and decoration (preferable dyed)
--Homemade muffins. (200+ will be needed, we prefer home baked, mix or scratch, and not store bought)

Because this event is large and we need many volunteers please RSVP as soon as you know you are coming so we can plan accordingly. Let's show Jesus love in a practical way!
