Yesterday we began our "Summer in the Psalms (2018)" sermon series by looking at Psalm 4 and considering "Inward Peace amidst Outward Turmoil."
Psalm 4:8 has been a very important verse for me for over 26 years. In my freshman year at Biola there was a period where I struggled to get adequate sleep and this verse was a comfort and promise that I prayed and laid hold of daily. To this day it continues to be a verse that I pray for each of my kids and for others on a daily basis.
In peace I will both lie down and sleep; for you alone, O LORD, make me dwell in safety. - Psalm 4:8
